Photos from The Cat Club
Thanks to all who were at The Cat Club show last night! I really enjoyed playing last night. I mean, I always do, but after playing so many shows in the past couple of months I find I’ve gotten into a rhythm and a flow with my performances. So many things just come naturally at this point that I can really just sink into the emotion of each word. Here are some photos from the show:
I’ll be heading back to Minneapolis in a couple of days and will be there for a few weeks. Between now and when I leave on Thursday, I’m moving to a new apartment here in Hollywood and working on writing. Lots to do, but it will be good. My next show is in Minneapolis at Acadia Cafe on Friday, November 9th at 8pm. Looking forward to playing there again!

Wow, your going to be living in Hollywood? Just like the big time musicians!
I stayed at a home in the hills once and it was amazing all the famous people that had been there, their autographs were on one of the walls…

Hi guys! Yes, Hollywood is an interesting place. But just to clarify, since I wasn’t very clear before, I’m not moving to Hollywood exclusively—I mean I’m basically living in Minneapolis most of the time and going to L.A. very often. So, I will still be here a lot! But even so, Shogo, I would love to see you at that Acadia show :).

Hi Laura,
It’s great to check in and read your blogs from time to time and to see how you’re doing. How wonderful that you have had the opportunity to perform so much lately. I admire you for your courage in letting go and feeling so comfortable with your audiences and your story of forgetting your words and regaining your composure was fantastic.
A little while ago, one of my friends in Shanghai was asking me about you. He had heard your music through googling my name and going to Jarome’s website! It’s great how we’re all linked!
Keep on with your wonderful work Laura. Wishing you all the best.
Warmly,
Elika
