Injury!
Somehow I managed to cut my finger on something sharp on the handle of my car door. It made a deep cut and the scene wasn’t pretty. I was on a phone conference on my cell phone at the time and when I saw all the red I was like, “Um, I think I’m going to need to call you guys back.” I went to urgent care and was able to avoid stitches, but they put on a pressure bandage. It looks kinda funny and I’m not supposed to use my hand. So, it definitely makes some musical things difficult….
For instance, I’m taking piano lessons, but now I can’t practice. Exhibit A:
I also have a show next week, but I can’t play my guitar to practice. Exhibit B:
But I was able to make my bandage into a cute little puppet and that makes the whole experience a little but mischievous and fun. See? There’s always a silver lining.

Sorry to hear about the “incident.” I hope you heal quickly and watch out for those door handles. Take care!

Awww, thanks sweet peas. Erin, thanks for putting up with all the finger puppet shows/ dancing I made you sit through in the car (just like old times when we were little, no?) And Will, I solved the mystery of the door handle! There is this thick metallic paint on the handle that has started peeling on the underside—and that was what was so sharp! I put duct tape around it to avoid future incidents. As you can imagine, the duct tape looks awesome.

Laura, i truly did think the finger puppet was adorable. it was no bother at all. i relished it, although of course i wish you didn’t get hurt in the first place. i relished the silly putty and other stuff when we were little, too.
as for the duct tape, i think it’s totally punk rock! that can be a cool effect! i might put some on my car too. hee hee
